You'd think that since Justin Bieber is literally married to Hailey Bieber that'd it be obvious he wants to dedicate his time and attention to her. Apparently, Justin felt he still needed to make that clear to the world. Somehow, Selena Gomez always ends up being a part of Justin's life one way or another and this time it's through his own song. Justin Bieber released a new song that cuts all ties with Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber released his collab with Chris Brown, Don't Check On Me, a couple of days ago and of course, fans think it has to do with his past relationship with Selena Gomez.

It all started with the way Justin promoted the song on Instagram. On June 27th Justin wrote on his Instagram story that he, "has something to say," with a link to the new collab.

Basically, he was saying he spilled some major tea in his new collab. Justin and Selena officially ended things for good in 2018 but Justin, according to fan speculation, was only able to get over his ex and put it in a song now.

Some lyrics fans are talking about are, "Might run across your mind but don’t worry ’bout me, no. My heart is back in one piece, it ain’t skipped a beat, no. Feeling rested up, I ain’t missing sleep, no-oh.”

The end of the verse seems to explain how he's ready to move on and doesn't want his past relationship to interfere with the marriage he's in now, “Don’t take it personal if I can’t reply now. I’m distant ’cause I don’t wanna be reached now. Won’t let the ghosts of our past weigh my future down. I’m liberated.”

Here's what some fans had to say on twitter about the whole ordeal:

Despite Justin attempting to sing about cutting ties with Selena, some fans think it was unnecessary and shouldn't have had to be said, especially because he's already married!

Maybe we'll get another song in a couple of months about how great married life is without the "ghost" of his relationship with Selena.
