If you follow Kevin Hart on Twitter you might have seen a strange and emotional tweet from yesterday afternoon. While very cryptic and vague, many thought it was over Kanye West and the recent political and cultural statements he's been boldly making both online and in interview. However the true story of Kevin's tweet has finally been revealed.

Kevin was "Mind blown...Hurt...at a lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment" after authorities announced that they had charged Kevin's old friend for trying to extort Kevin for money during his cheating scandal a few months back.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced charges against Jonathan Jackson, 41, who allegedly tried blackmailing the comedian last year.

Kevin's longtime 'friend' Jackson, 41, was charged with attempted extortion and extortion by threatening letter after attempting to blackmail Kevin for an undisclosed amount of money with a video he secretly recorded of Hart having sex with a woman in Las Vegas.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Jackson also allegedly tried to sell the video clips to different celebrity news publication.

It was around that same time last year that Kevin posted a video apology to his wife and children on Instagram, coming clean about his own cheating.

Saying in the video, "I'm at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back. And because of that I should make smart decisions. And recently, I didn’t. You know, I’m not perfect. I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way shape or form. And I made a bad error in judgment and I put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen and they did.’

At the time of the scandal, Kevin's wife Eniko Parrish was pregnant with their son Kenzo Kash.
