As we all know, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane were a pivotal part of Suits. For years, the parts depicted by Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle were a huge part of the show that drew fans in and kept them engaged for years to come. The pseudo-lawyer and the paralegal made an incredible team, full of chemistry, wit and humour. Now, after 6 years of sharing the screen together, Meghan Markle will leave the set of Suits to commit to her duties as the next Duchess of Edinburgh as she marries Prince Harry of Wales.
Many fans were sad to hear that Rachel Zane would no longer grace the Suits screen, but surprisingly few were glad, as the character's plot points have taken their course, with not much action left for Rachel to pursue. Mike Ross will also be leaving the show, presumably with Rachel, as Patrick J. Adams exits Suits too.
Last night, Patrick J. Adams took to Twitter to tease fans about the news of Prince Harry and Meghan's engagement, on behalf of his inner Mike Ross:
She said she was just going out to get some milk... https://t.co/y7cnM0eC9D— Patrick J Adams (@halfadams) November 27, 2017
Adams later took to Instagram to write a thoughtful post about his work-wife, saying: "Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this: Your Royal Highness, you are a lucky man and I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious. Meghan, so happy for you, friend. Much love."
