Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj have quickly become one of the most iconic singer/rapper duos of this decade. From hits like Get On Your Knees to Side to Side, it's practically impossible for the pair to put out a bad song.
Unfortunately, it seems that things have turned sour between the A-list pop duo considering Nicki Minaj's social media activity this morning, and fans have noticed. While the drama is coming from events that have transpired over the weekend, fans are convinced it goes deeper than what it seems.
It started when the 36-year-old rapper took to Twitter in support of Pete Davidson and Kanye West who have both been blowing up social media this weekend with regard to mental health. West, on one hand, is in a fight right now with Drake while Davidson is being candid with his struggle to want to live.
We can be so insensitive. God bless Kanye & Pete. Being flippant about mental illness speaks more about you than them. Stop saying the word love & live it. Love is an action.— QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) December 15, 2018
Ariana Grande fans are finding the tweet fishy considering that Pete Davidson's posts over the weekend so far have been depicted as jabs at Grande. They believe the posts are in response to the young singer's tweets on Twitter from Thursday. Where she indirectly asked Kanye and Drake to stop fighting ahead of the release of both Miley Cyrus' and her own songs that were dropping on Friday.
guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y'all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that'd be so sick thank u— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) December 14, 2018
What's made it especially obvious to fans that Minaj isn't happy with Grande is her Instagram activity in which she liked both of Davidson's posts that have been speculated to be jabs at Grande.
Fans are convinced that the reason Nicki is reacting so publicly to Pete and Kanye's current situations online is because Grande previously publicly supported Travis Scott. It's well known that Nicki Minaj has some serious bad blood with Scott after he took the #1 spot that pushed Minaj's album release Queen to a lower placing during it's opening week. Meaning that Grande publicly congratulating him on his number #1 album probably did not sit well with Nicki.
so fucking dope. congratulations! 🖤— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) December 3, 2018
While Nicki Minaj is being quite public, Grande announced earlier today she would be signing off Twitter as a result of all the drama:
anyway i hate the internet so much. sending love. but like bye.— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) December 15, 2018
While it's still unclear if this really is the end for one of the most iconic pop duos we've seen in a while, we can only hope the situation isn't as bad as it seems and the two can work it out.
