Meghan Markle has been the subject of public scrutiny as of late and the Duchess has reportedly not been enjoying life in the spotlight as a royal. Now, Prince Harry has revealed that he feels responsible that Meghan Markle isn't reportedly enjoying royal life.
An inside source told Us Weekly that the prince feels that the Duchess has had to make major sacrifices for him. "Meghan made a huge sacrifice by moving across the pond, away from her mom and friends," said the insider. "Marrying into the royal family isn’t anywhere near as glamorous as it seems, so in a lot of ways Harry feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable".
Prince Harry also feels bad that he can't publically speak out against the rumours circulating about his pregnant wife. "He’s wanted to publicly make a statement many times defending Meghan and addressing the false rumors," said the source. "But was advised not to".
The Duchess of Sussex has been having a hard time adjusting to public criticism as a royal. "Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful," a royal insider told Us Weekly.
Another insider revealed that Meghan Markle does feel affected by the widespread scrutiny and that she is "definitely bothered by all the reports and speculation".
Just recently, Markle was reportedly feuding with sister-in-law and Duchess Kate Middleton and the Queen of England even had to get involved and make the two make up because she was fed up with the drama.
Reportedly, Middleton did not like Markle because she felt that Prince Harry's wife "used Kate to climb the royal ladder". Another reason that an insider revealed was that Middleton felt threatened by Markle and that she was stealing the spotlight from her.
On top of the drama between her and Middleton, Markle has also been subject to widespread criticism in the media. She has had several negative stories written about her and there are claims that she is difficult and entitled, according to Us Weekly.
