Millie Bobby Brown just deleted her Twitter for the most upsetting reason. After somebody turned the Stranger Things actress into a meme using a slur term for a homosexual, she deactivated her account.
The four photos are clearly edited to make it seem as though Brown was anti-LGBTQ. This is definitely not the case, as Brown was seen wearing a pin to honour the GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) during the 2017 MTV Awards.
Not only does Brown stand with the LGBTQ community, she is also an advocate for anti-bullying. This meme trend is not something new for the 14-year-old celebrity, who experienced hate last year under the hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown.
It goes without saying that this truly disturbing, considering Brown's age and that grown people on Twitter are spreading this hate. It also publically goes against the message that the actress is trying to promote, giving people the wrong idea about her intentions.
People are absolutely furious on Twitter and have quickly come to Browns defence, knowing what she stands for. Yet there are still some who are buying into the memes.
So am I the only one that hates the homophobic Millie Bobby Brown meme? It’s so stupid. “Hey guys I’m a grown man let me put a caption on a picture of Millie Bobby Brown that says “I hate faggots and niggers” I’m so funny” no, shut the fuck up— J (@jtman2012) June 13, 2018

Okay, I’m not even a Millie Bobby Brown fan but all these jokes about her being homophobic are horrible. She’s just a kid and has been cyber-bullied into now deactivating her Twitter account. Honestly, what is wrong with people? Leave the girl alone— Niamh Delargy (@niamh_delargy) June 13, 2018

Millie Bobby Brown has yet to comment on what happened but we know that she won't stand for this.
