Meredith Phillips was the season 2 star of ABC Network's The Bachelorette. She was the star of the show waaaay back in 2004 so you may not remember her. The former Bachelorette star is now opening up about a sexual assault that she claims took place on the set of the famous reality show.
As you may know, Reality Steve is a famous online personality that regularly comments on The Bachelor series. Meredith was recently on Reality Steve's podcast where she opened up about the sexual assault claims.
He asked her what the most difficult part of the show was for her and she responded by saying, "Normally [I] wouldn't really talk about this, but I'm going to tell you because it's bothered me for years." She went on to explain that she was "roofied in a hot tub" and "kind of accosted" by "a masseuse that a producer hired to come into my room to give me a massage".
She also says that she's talking about this now because she has a friend on a recent season of The Bachelor had a similar experience.
If you think this is bad, just wait until you hear more. She continued on explaining that she was given a pill. "Well, I just assumed it was an Aspirin or, you know, something to loosen up my back, or Tylenol or something. It definitely wasn't that. That's for sure."
She continued on, "The last thing I remember is she got naked and she was in the tub with me, and rubbing my back and she was rubbing areas that probably she shouldn't have. And then I was put in bed... I woke up naked. Don't remember much..."
Meredith went on to explain that she "literally couldn't even move her body" after taking that pill. She claims that she still doesn't know what that pill was, "All I know was I was told that, 'this will make you feel better'."
ABC and Warner Bros. have not commented on Meredith's allegations.
