Toronto Maple Leafs Player Zach Hyman Leads An Unexpected Double Life
This is so cute!
Hockey players are seen as tough guys, people who continue playing after loosing teeth or getting a black eye in a game aren't usually associated with having much of a soft side.
But not all hockey players can be painted with the same brush - or stick. Some have a side interests or hobbies you'd never have expected.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have one such player, Zach Hyman, who leads a double life as a children's author.
That's right in addition to playing professional hockey in the NHL, Hyman is the author of 3 children's books so far!
His newest one is titled The Magician's Secret and is set to come out next month on April 3.
According to Penguin Random House, who are publishing the book The Magician's Secret is an:
An "action-adventure picture book featuring a grandfather and grandson duo celebrates the power of imagination and the magic of make believe."
You can see a full synopsis for the book below.
The other books that Hyman has written in his career so far are titled Hockey Hero and The Bambino and Me.
Hyman even takes his books on reading tours to schools in Toronto, which as you can see from the picture below is adorable.
Hockey Players, they're not all just body checking and fist fights.
