The past few days have been wild if you're a Teen Mom fan. Whether or not you're a fan of the MTV show, you know that the show's main characters are always stirring up trouble. One family, in particular, were so controversial that fans were begging for them to be removed from the series entirely.
If you missed the latest controversy, here's a quick recap. David Eason, the husband of Jenelle Evan's (one of the Teen Moms) was at the centre of a Twitter cross-fire after getting into multiple arguments with fans over parenting, children and morals. He made a variety of homophobic statements, including that he did not want his children associating with gay or transgender children ...
It wasn't long before fans began calling him out for his homophobic remarks and began demanding that MTV fire him from Teen Mom. Fans argued that the network shouldn't be employing someone that is spewing hate speech online and he shouldn't be given a position of influence on a major tv show.
Well, MTV quickly responded and it is confirmed that they have fired David Eason from Teen Mom. MTV said in a statement to People, "David Eason's personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV". They went on to explain that "with six weeks left of production on Teen Mom 2, effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him".
Fans are upset that Jenelle Evans is still on the show. MTV hasn't commented on Evans' future on Teen Mom.
