There's nothing quite like riding around town with the top down, blasting music and singing along at the top of your lungs. It's even better when you have your boo next to you to share the moment. Jeezy and Jeannie were totally having one of these blissful moments riding around Atlanta yesterday, but the Internet is not so supportive of the couple's newfound relationship.
Jeezy's girlfriend, Jeannie Mai of day-time talk show The Real, took to Instagram yesterday afternoon (Dec. 15) to post a cutesy, light-hearted video of she and Jeezy. The couple was driving along Peachtree Road in Atlanta, laughing and singing to Tevin Campbell's "Can We Talk" in Jeezy's convertible.
The whimsical video is an innocent moment of the couple having a great time together, but the good vibes are somewhat tarnished because of the backlash they're getting on social media.
This Twitter user replies to a repost of the video, stating that "Jeezy really can do better dawg."
Another user dug up some receipts from The Real on an episode where Jeannie says she likes her "dark meat on the side" because "white keeps me mean and lean." "This is all I can remember when I see Jeezy and Jeannie Mai. Did he not watch this? Lmao," says the user.
There is tons of commentary surrounding Jeannie's comment about dating white men with Black men on the side, including this Twitter protester who just discovered the video.
She states, "Oh naw I thought her & Jeezy were cute but now I take my comment and like back."
There are always two sides to every story and some people are just taking the video at face value.
This supporter tweets, "Hopped on twitter & saw Jeezy trending. Not mad at its about a guy genuinely happy instead of dead or in a bad situation." And that, is the understatement of the year.
Did you know Shaq has a new cooking show coming to Atlanta? Yes we're so pumped too.
