If you're like us, you probably take a massive trip down memory lane when you think of the Goosebumps books. The thrilling young adult fiction series took the world by storm in the '90s and 2000s, when many of us were youngsters, taking great pleasure in sticking our noses in these suspenseful (and a little cheesy) books. Due to the success of the two Goosebumps films released in recent years, R.L. Stine has decided to bring another one of his teen horror book series to life via cinematic masterpiece. Fear Street is filming in Georgia right now and the cast includes major stars.

The first Fear Street book, The New Girl, was released in 1989, before Goosebumps was even a thing. The series requires a heightened tolerance of all things gruesome, as they are a little more graphic than other R.L. Stine books. The novels, which feature a group of teens battling (presumably) paranormal creatures like a classic vampire or goblin, sold over 80 million copies worldwide. We hope the movie will bring just as many thrills to their nostalgic audience, especially those of us in Georgia who can hopefully witness the cast in action.

Not to fear (hehe), we know where some of the set takes place, so grab your binoculars and keep your eyes peeled for Gillian Jacobs, Ashley Zukerman, Olivia Welch, Kiana Madeira, Emily Brobst, Benjamin Flores Jr. and other lead roles and more.

The producers have set up shop at North Dekalb Mall (known as Stony Hill Mall in the movie) where they are taking over tons of "dead" stores that have been vacant for quite some time. These include Musicland, Casual Corner, Gadzooks, B. Dalton and Software Etc.

Fear Street will take place in the fictional town of Shadyside, Ohio, where many events cause the city to live up to its name. It will feature teens who experience some pretty supernatural stuff and they must solve mysteries together to crack the case and defeat their demon(s). The first movie, expected to debut in 2020, will be the first of a trilogy.

Olivia Welch and Kiana Madeira will play a teen lesbian couple experiencing relationship issues as they battle insane horrors in their town. They each will play characters from completely different eras (the 1990s and 1600s) when gay women faced even greater societal struggles.

The production studio, 20th Century Fox, allegedly plans to release the three movies pretty close in proximity. The film is currently casting for a wide variety of roles right here in "The Hollywood of the South." So, if you dare, sign up for a spooky adventure and potentially meet the celebs up close.
