Dove Cameron's Seattle Visit For The Holidays Reminded Us That She's From The City

If we aren't playing tourists in our own cities, are we even doing it right? Dove Cameron changed that. On Monday, the actor of Disney Liv & Maddie fame snapped a very touristy photo of herself at Seattle's iconic Pike Place Market for the 'gram, and honestly, it's all of us.

If we aren't playing tourists in our own cities, are we even doing it right? On Monday, Disney's Liv & Maddie actress snapped a very touristy photo of herself at Seattle's iconic Pike Place Market for the 'gram, and honestly, it's all of us. Dove Cameron's Seattle visit for the holidays reminded us that she's from the amazing city.

Captioning it with emojis that the Emerald City is best known for — the ocean, lofty mountains, and coffee, the 23-year-old took a picture at the grand farmer's market and fans couldn't believe that they weren't there.

One of them even commented, "I just screamed. You’re in Seattle?! 😍 have fun, we have such cool stuff here."

And that quickly turned to a trending comment because Dove was there with a reply. "I'm from here🌹".

A lot of her fans had no idea that she was from Seattle. Although the Descendants series actor is now based out of Los Angeles, she was born in Seattle and grew up in Bainbridge Island, Washington.

It's on the island that she even took to community theater at Bainbridge Performing Arts.

In fact, her older sister Claire Hosterman (and no, they aren't twins!) posted a warm family picture celebrating the holidays from their Bainbridge home a few days ago.

The picture that saw Dove and her actor beau, Thomas Doherty, was captioned, "So, so grateful for the most wonderful Thanksgiving and to have my family 💕✨ They mean more to me than anything!!!"

Their mother Bonnie J. Wallace posted the same shot simply captioning it "Grateful ♥️".

Dove has fond memories of her time in the Evergreen State and talks about it quite often. She once even reminisced:

I 100% miss living in a small town, night drives in the rain to Walmart, getting pints of icecream to stay up all night with my best friends

Singer and Broadway star Shoshana Bean who is a fellow Puget Sounder from Olympia, Washington, chimed in with a comment of her own, that read, "You’re in our hommmeeee! Enjoy, sweet one!!❤️"

It seems like there are quite a few celebrities who call Washington home, and with the holidays right around the corner, it's best to keep our eyes out for them.
