Opportunities to get some fresh air are hard to come across in the middle of winter. Luckily, there are plenty of things to do in Grand Rapids this January. The city is hosting some of the most exciting winter adventures next month.
Their World of Winter Festival is happening throughout the entire month, but this one event on January 18 is bringing the party vibe to you and your friends.
The Silent Disco is the biggest party you've been to that doesn't require a speaker.
Each guest will get a pair of wireless headphones that they can use to listen to the music they choose. Four different DJ's will be providing music for the event and you can flip through their channels while dancing.
The names of the DJ's and their set lists will be announced closer to the event.
The event will also be hosting food trucks and of course, there will be booze for sale.
This dance party might just be a vision of how we get crazy in the future.
You can also step into the games area, which has something unique for you drinking game aficionados. They're hosting ice beer pong, which is a level of the game that you've never experienced before.
The table is carved out of ice and has spaces for the cups to sit in so you won't get the annoying task of lining all the cups up after each turn.
The event is only for people 18 years of age and older and the will enforce that so make sure to bring your ID.
The silent disco is only part of the fun.
There will be furniture made of out ice and LED lights, ice-themed bean bag toss, and the art installation, Prismatica, will be lining the streets.
