A Girl In A Photo From 1800s Canada Looks Just Like Greta Thunberg & Twitter Is Shook

They think she's a time traveller.
"Greta Thunberg Photo" From 1800s Canada Is Making People Think She's A Time Traveller

Greta Thunberg has already made her mark on the world as a dedicated climate activist. With so much coverage of her work leading climate marches in various cities, there are already a ton of Greta Thunberg photos out there. However, one newly discovered image has people wondering if Thunberg is actually a time traveller.

An image was posted online after being found in the University of Washington library archives. It depicts children working at a gold mine in the Yukon Territory in the year 1898.

What makes the photo special, however, is that one of these children bears a striking resemblance to Greta Thunberg.

The resemblance is so uncanny, in fact, that some conspiracy theorists on Twitter are now claiming that Thunberg must be some kind of time traveller. Some are even saying that she was sent from the future to "save us" from climate change.

Of course, the conspiracy theory is mostly just for fun. The young activist may have figured out how to travel without leaving as big a carbon footprint, but it's not very likely that she alone has figured out time travel.

Still, some Twitter users seem to be having a lot of fun trying to figure out just what the pic could mean.

"Wow. Well, that explains a lot. Photographic evidence that Greta Thunberg is a time traveller! She must have been to the future and seen for herself how we're all choking for air, whilst being boiled to death. I was wrong for ever doubting her," wrote @JasonOsgerby.

"Maybe she is from the future who was sent back in time to key moments in history to stop climate change," wrote @KellyEdwardsWPG.

Greta Thunberg has been leading climate strikes across the world, including one in Montreal and another one in Edmonton.

While she was in Alberta, Thunberg also took the time to visit a glacier in the middle of a blizzard.
