15 Fun Things To Do This Summer In Halifax That Cost Less Than $15

Our two favorite things are summer weather and saving money, so it seemed intuitive that we put together a list of events, date ideas and outdoor activities that all Haligonians can try once the weather starts to get a little warmer.
Get the most bang for your buck this summer by trying some new things all over the city.
Eat your ice cream from DeeDee’s at the top of Citadel Hill
Try one of the many flavours offered by DeeDee’s ice cream, and climb nearby Citadel Hill to enjoy your cone with an awesome view of the city.
Take a day trip over to McNab's Island
Get a group of three friends together and split a water taxi with Harbour Water Taxi that will take you directly to the beaches and ruins of nearby McNab's for $15 each.
See a live show at the Halifax Jazz Festival
From July 12th to the 16th catch a show as part of the Halifax Jazz Festival at The Company House, where almost every performance all fetival long is $15 for entry.

Located at the corner of Spring Garden and South Park Street, Haligonians are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Stillwell Beer Garden. Take a date here for some craft beer and delicious food this summer!
Rent a bike for an hour with I Heart Bikes
At $12 per hour for a bike rental, swing by I Heart Bikes on the Halifax waterfront and explore Point Pleasant Park or bike through the North End on your new wheels.

From 5pm to 9pm admission at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is free of charge, thanks to BMO financial group who graciously sponsor the weekly event. On a regular day student admission to the gallery is only $7 anyways!
