Cape Breton Island lies at the eastern part of Nova Scotia – about a four-hour drive from Halifax.  The island accounts for 18% of Nova Scotia, and is home to multiple towns including Sydney and Glace Bay, as well as the Fortress of Louisbourg and five Mi’kmaq Nation reserves.

Travelers from all over the world travel to Cape Breton for a chance to see the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and hike along the famous Cabot Trail.  The park is known for its steep rocky cliffs and incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean.

We’ve included some of the most incredible pictures from this beautiful region in the hopes that you’ll be inspired to visit.
