The second annual Halifax Lights Holiday Market is a Christmas event you will not want to miss!  Get some last minute shopping done by browsing through the crafts of local artisans, taste some delicious holiday foods made by Nova Scotian chefs and take in some incredible live music at one of three locations the market has designated throughout Halifax.

Until December 18th the market will be running in the Historic Properties Privateers Wharf, located at 1869 Upper Water Street.  The Historic Properties will be decked out in Christmas lights and festive decorations for visitors to enjoy.  Vendors and artists will be on site selling their handmade products, and programs for kids will also take place periodically.

The Halifax Lights Christmas Market will also be featuring a small selection of holiday retailers at their pop-up shop in 1566 Barrington Street.  Brands like Rum Runners Rum Cake Factory, The Lost Cod Clothing Co. and Bridget Turner Jewelry will be selling their products until December 18th so be sure to check some presents off your list at this temporary shop.

In partnership with Eastern Front Theatre, there will also be a pop-up market at the Neptune Theatre, which will feature holiday retailers and crafters in the lobby of Neptune Theatre’s Scotiabank Stage. During the market, Eastern Front Theatre will be offering a discount on tickets to their production of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Market vendors will be offering free parking passes to the Scotia Square parkade with every purchase, so make sure to pick those up if you’re driving into Halifax for the market! Waterfront Development will also be offering free parking on Saturdays from November 25 until December 31 at Lower Water Street to support Saturday Holiday Market days.  For more details about this awesome annual event, click here!
