A Massive Tattoo Festival Is Coming To Halifax

Adept Tattoos in partnership with Trinity will be presenting the 11th Maritime Tattoo Festival next month from May 20th to the 22nd.  Artists from all over the world will converge on the Halifax Forum for a three-day celebration of tattoo and piercing art, with tickets starting at only $15 each!  Check out your admission options here.

There will be live tattoos given, vendors showcasing art and jewellery related to tattooing and live musical performances from artists Dang Danglers and Josh Lake.  Hourly contests will be taking place, plus VIP ticket holders will have access to after parties and a cruise aboard the Harbour Queen.

The feature tattoo artists for this year will be Josh Bodwell and James Mullin. Josh Bodwell can be seen on "Epic Ink" on A&E and is Lucasfilms licensed tattooist at Star Wars Celebration events. His home base is Funhouse Tattooing in Tannersville, PA.  James Mullin owns and tattoos out of Lotus Tattoo in Hemet, California. He specializes in neo-traditional tattooing and references pop culture in most of his work.

Ottawa’s Popular Music Festival Will Have A Vaccination Requirement This Year

Organizers are planning a vaccine pop-up before the festival!

If you want to party it up at the Escapade Music Festival (EMF) in Ottawa this September, you're going to need to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

EMF announced in a statement on Facebook on July 19 that the festival will return this fall from Friday, Sept. 3 to Sunday, Sept. 5.
