Hallmark Is Casting For A New Movie In BC & You Don't Need Experience To Apply

You could get paid to be an extra in a Hallmark movie.

Have you always wanted to be in a major motion picture? Well, your chance has finally come. The Hallmark Channel movies we know, love, and anticipate every year, are filming right here in B.C. While they have a jam-packed star lineup, they need extras. That’s where you come in. This month, you can attend a Hallmark open casting call in B.C. for your chance to appear in the movie.

If you claim to have never thought about being in a movie or T.V. show, you're lying to yourself. Everyone wants to see themselves on the big screen, even if it's in the background.

Maybe applying to be on Big Brother Canada or Family Feud didn't get you anywhere, but this might. You don't need to be a professional actor to be considered for this job.

Every year, Hallmark pumps out Christmas movies like there is no tomorrow and we live for it. Some of them have even had big names like Dolly Parton, Lacey Chabert from Mean Girls, and Martin Cummins from Riverdale. Even Vanessa Hudgens has hopped on board the Christmas movie train with her famous film The Princess Switch.

Now it is your chance to get on set and make your dreams come true. Here’s what you need to know.

Casting for extras will take place at Big White Ski Resort this month. From November 12 to 23, 2019, you can head down to Big White and show off your skills.

According to Okanagan Background casting, the film will be called Alice in Winterland. Given that Big White is literally a massive winter wonderland, it only makes sense that filming will take place here.

Every person who is chosen as a background character will be paid for their performance, so you can officially call yourself a paid actor if you get picked.

All you need to do to apply is send a photo with your personal information to hallmarkcasting@gmail.com. You will also need to confirm that you have reliable transportation to and from Big White.

Performers can be all ages and ethnicities. The casting agency is even looking for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders to feature in the movie as well, so if you're talented on the slopes, be sure to specify that in your email.

For more information and specific details, be sure to check the Okanagan Background Casting Facebook page. Good luck and we hope to see you on the big screen!
