A Saturday night out turned into an attempted murder scene on November 16. Hamilton Police have released a Hamilton shooting video and are asking for the public's help in identifying someone who shot a 24-year-old man in the head. Thankfully, the victim survived and is in stable condition after being transported to Hamilton General Hospital.

According to a Hamilton Police news release, on Saturday, at about 2:30 a.m., Hamilton police and paramedics were called to the area of Sheila's Place/Ellis Kitchen at 455 King St. E in the city.
Police arrived about four minutes later and found a man with a gunshot injury to his head.
Paramedics arrived not long after and were able to transport the victim to the hospital. Incredibly, despite being shot in the head at close range, he survived and is now in stable condition.
Hamilton Police have released the security footage from outside the bar and a church across the street. The video shows a suspect in a white coat appearing to get into a disagreement with another man wearing a dark coat.
After an apparent exchange of words, the suspect draws a handgun and fires at the man in the dark coat, hitting him in the head.
The assailant then puts his hood up and calmly walks away while chaos breaks out.
According to police, the shooter was seen running from the scene north on East Ave. from King St. E. after the horrific incident.
Investigators describe the man in question as a black male, around 20 to 30 years of age, wearing a white hooded jacket, light coloured pants, dark shoes, and wearing a black satchel.
Police are looking for any witnesses who are able to help with the case, as none have yet come forward.
