Health Canada just released an alert warning Canadians that pharmacies across the nation could run out of EpiPens this summer. The alert is especially alarming to Canadians that suffer from severe allergies.
Pfizer Canada is dealing with a shortage right now, which is causing the issue with the EpiPens. In their statement, Health Canada warns that pharmacies across the country will likely run out of Epi-Pens in the coming days or even weeks.
The shortage includes the adult dosage of EpiPen (0.3 mg) and the EpiPen Jr (0.15 mg) which is suitable for children. The EpiPen in 0.3mg dosage is expected to be very limited at pharmacies during the month of August. According to Health Canada, this means that some pharmacies may have the supply on hand, but it will likely be depleted in the coming weeks, perhaps even days.
They also added that "Pfizer Canada does not expect to be able to provide new supply until the end of August."
The arena, which is home to the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs, NBA's Toronto Raptors and the NLL's Toronto Rock, is featured in a whopping 1,144,605 photos on Instagram, making it the most-posted attraction in Canada.
It wasn't the only stadium to make the top ten list, either. Vancouver's Rogers Area took the tenth spot, while landmarks like the CN Tower, Whistler Blackcomb and Lake Louise were also included.
