Here's Why Justin Bieber Is Shunning The Grammys This Year

As a young artist, Justin Bieber once dreamed of winning a Grammy. The pop sensation was nominated for his first Grammys back in 2011. Many thought the star was a shoe-in for Best New Artist or Best Pop Vocal Album, but he sadly lost. Justin would have to wait for 5 years until he was nominated again for 'Where Are Ü Now' - a song that would award him his first Grammy.
Bieber was nominated for a whopping 4 Grammys last year after his successful comeback album 'Purpose." This year, despite not releasing any solo projects, Bieber is up for four more Grammys for his feature on 'Despacito.' TMZ reports that despite the nominations and the likelihood of Bieber winning, he will not be walking the red carpet or attending the award show.

While some could speculation that the Canadian cutie wanted to avoid the red-carpet interviews -which would no doubt be flooded with questions about his romantic life with on-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez - the singer has a much more admirable reason for missing the award show. Justin is working on a new album and wants to prioritize his new music rather than the show.

Bieber was spotted spending some quality time with his mom, dad, and half-brother in Beverly Hills. Justin assisted his mother in going to church and later went for lunch with his father and brother. Justin seemed to be in good spirits.
