A new season is coming upon us and many of us are welcoming the warm weather with open arms. This means more sunlight and less seasonal depression. Get ready because you can hike for free in Tennessee this month and it's the perfect way to kick spring off right.
Tennessee State Parks are offering free guided hikes on March 21, aka next Saturday, to embrace the warm weather that's coming through (and hopefully staying).
If you've been wanting to try out a few Tennessee hikes but don't know where to start or if you just want to learn more about the state's more natural side, now's the time to do it.
The park guides will take you through the best trails and teach you all about the history of the park and what it has to offer.
All 56 Tennessee State Parks will be participating in this day, so it's up to you to decide which ones you want to experience.
If you end up going to every park, or even half of them, you deserve an award.
Between all of the parks, you're bound to see some beautiful waterfalls, unique wildflowers and crystal clear pools of water.
A few parks that you can visit on March 21 include:
Rocky Fork State Park
Burgess Falls State Park
Some parks have multiple hikes on the different trails that are there, so you can pick which one works best for you and your group depending on your experience.
You're encouraged to bring snacks and water to make sure you're equipt and ready to spend a full day in the great outdoors.
