Crystal clear beautiful water comes once in a blue moon here in Georgia (since the entire state has red clay everywhere.) When you find these unique and hidden spots, you have to take advantage of them. This hike in Georgia will lead you to an emerald green pool and a massive waterfall that you'll only believe once you see it.

Lula Lake and Lula Falls are located near the famous Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, Georgia. This might be one of the top three coolest hikes and adventures the state has to offer.

The hike to get to the actual lake and waterfall is only three miles, there and back, which makes for the perfect day adventure. Once you take this hike, you'll want to keep coming back every season.

To start it off, you'll walk through a shaded hardwood forest and cross a few wooden bridges. This hike starts out uphill, so you'll feel the effects of your trek early on and your thighs will be burning.

You'll first come across Lula Lake before you get to the falls; you'll want to jump right in the water — it's so beautiful. There is a small waterfall that opens up into an emerald pool that eventually meets with the 120-foot main attraction.

You'll follow the rest of the trail down to the gorge to get the best views of Lula Falls. You will be in awe when you come up to them because it is just 120 feet of free-falling water. The pictures you'll take will be amazing, and it's the perfect place to relax.

Because this area is a preserved spot, the falls and trail are only open the first and last weekends of May through November, so start planning your summer trip now!

The location is open daily, however, there will only be 85 spots each day, so be sure to head to their website to get a spot before you go
