Ontario's fans of all things ice cream were definitely catching some negative feels earlier this year. In January, news broke that Hollywood Cone's downtown Toronto location had shut down unexpectedly. But prepare your taste buds, because a new location has popped up, and Hollywood Cone Whitby is truly better than ever.
The newest location in Durham Region opened at 75 Consumers Dr. in Whitby earlier this year.
The store in Oshawa at 1 Simcoe St. N., meanwhile, remained open after the Toronto store at Thickson Road and Dundas Street closed, and it's still going strong.
While the Whitby store is up to an hour's drive from downtown, we can't stress enough that it's totally worth it.
Seriously, this place will make all your wildest dessert dreams come true.
The menu at the new store, of course, has brought back what made Hollywood Cone famous in the first place — ice cream!
After choosing your size and cone, you can add your free topping from the seemingly endless list.
That list includes (deep breath): Oreos, Smarties, red velvet cupcake, cheesecake (including cherry, strawberry, or blueberry), cookie dough, and even sour gummy bears.
If you are feeling a bit more adventurous in your sugar rush, firstly, we're praying for you.
Secondly, you can go back to what originally put Hollywood Cone on the map - the mutant shakes. It's okay if you need a minute to clean the drool off your keyboard.
And if banana floats are more your boat, don't worry, as Hollywood Cone has you covered there too. Sails up!
If a frozen treat isn't what you are craving, there are plenty of other mouth-watering options include waffles and crepes.
And Hollywood Cone has donuts that would make even Homer Simpson lose his mind.
This Hollywood Cone is bigger and better than ever, with a menu that dwarfs that of the former Toronto location.
Saving yourself for savouries? You can enjoy a number of sandwiches, hot dogs, and fries as well. There's something for everyone!
Cuisine: Ice cream, shakes, donuts, and so much more
