Hollywood On Netflix

In the mood for a trip to Tinseltown? You may not be getting on a plane anytime soon, but Hollywood on Netflix is a brand new show that will make you feel as though you’re right there in the big city. The series has a star-studded cast that even includes one Canadian!

If you have yet to see the trailer for the new Netflix original, it takes viewers back in time to post World War II Hollywood, as a group of young aspiring actors and filmmakers do whatever it takes to make a name for themselves in the budding entertainment industry.

Hollywood comes from the mind of Ryan Murphy, who is known for his work on popular shows like Glee and American Horror Story. He’s also teamed up with Netflix in the past for The Politician and the upcoming documentary, A Secret Love.

If there’s one thing that Murphy knows how to do it’s cast a show, and his latest project is no exception. Hollywood stars the likes of Queen Latifah (Girls Trip), Holland Taylor (Legally Blonde), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), Samara Weaving (SMILF), Jeremy Pope (The Ranger), and Jake Picking (Horse Girl).

You may even recognize some familiar faces from Murphy’s other shows including David Corenswet (The Politician), Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story), Darren Criss (Glee), and Patti LuPone (American Horror Story).

With so many big names in the cast, it only makes sense that at least one Canadian should be included. According to IMDb, Kelowna-born actor Paul Black will play the role of Bruce in the new series.

You may recognize Black from The Masked Singer, Tosh.0, Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, Shades of Black, or New Girl, among many other credits.
