Netflix's 'Hollywood' Creator Teases There Could Be A Season 2 In The Future

More dreams could be coming true in the city of stars! Hollywood on Netflix might be getting a season 2. According to creator Ryan Murphy, a possible second installment would be thanks to all the love fans have been showing the series.

The show, which was originally announced as a limited musical, follows aspiring actors looking to make it big in post-World War II Hollywood. Through the group of artists, the series highlights the unfair entertainment industry when it comes to gender, sexuality, and race.

Murphy’s series gives viewers a glimpse of what Hollywood could have looked like if the unfair hierarchy was taken down in it’s earlier years.

The tease for more episodes came in the creator’s response to a fan on Instagram. When asked about a season two Murphy wrote, “Well HOLLYWOOD was planned as a limited series, but it's become so popular that everyone is asking for another season. So who knows?”

Although there weren’t any mentions on if their star-studded cast like Darren Criss (Glee), Jim Parson (Big Bang Theory), and Queen Latifah (Girls Trip) would return for the potential season 2, Murphy made sure to end his response with, “I sure do love this cast though. xo"

A second trip to Tinseltown isn’t a definite yes, however, it’s still more than what fans were expecting considering only 7 episodes were promised.

There’s no doubt that the series has seen nothing but success. It currently has a 78% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has been trending in Netflix’s top ten since it’s release on May 1.

Season 1 of Hollywood is currently streaming on Netflix. You can check out the full trailer below.
