Katy Is Getting The Coolest New French Bakery This Weekend

Not even the French are exempt from the law that "everything is bigger in Texas." This new authentic French cafe is opening in Katy this Saturday, and they're finally offering us French cuisine in reasonable sized portions.

From 2 pm to 5 pm, you'll be able to order from a menu of so many delicious desserts and French-inspired dishes. Their dessert menu teases with promises of goodies like summer rolls, pistachio opera, brownies layered with ganache, madelines, chouxchou, frais de chouchou, and french cookies. Everyone knows, the harder it is to pronounce, the more authentic and delcious it is. Facts!

You can get individual treats or family-sized ones. And the best part—none of the desserts sell for more than $7.

They also offer breakfast and lunch everyday. You can enjoy breakfast items like the Croc's benedict, french-style scrambled eggs, and french toast until 11:30 am. And then noon brings the lunch dishes—exotic salad, french baguette sandwhich, savory crepes, sweet crepes, and quiche. Geesh. The lunch menu even features two bonus desserts—a giant eclair and warm chocolate mousse.

All tasty concotions are hand crafted in-house by Chef Arnaud, who moved to Houston from France in 2015.

And you gotta wash it down with something, right? You can get coffee that comes from the native country of the chef's wife, Guatemala. They offer organic tea, hot coco, and cappuccino.

Bonjour Cafe is located at 20829 Kingsland Blvd, Suite A, Katy, TX 77450. The cafe's normal hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. They also cater soup, salmon, pounds cake, macaroons and tons of desserts for large and small events. You can visit their website for more information here!

How do the french stay such tiny people? I'll never understand.
