Houston Is Getting One Of The Only Two Toys R Us Stores In The Entire Nation

Good news: Toys R Us is back and the excitement is real! The only bad news about that is the fact that there will only be two locations in the entire nation so you might have to travel to relive your childhood dreams. If you're in Houston however, you are one of the two very lucky cities that will have a new and improved Toys R Us. The store will open in November at the ever-popular Galleria.
The new store, however, might not be just how you remember it. Part of their 'glow up' includes having demonstrations for its visitors and having STEM driving learning stations. They will still sell toys but now they are adding more interactive play and events to their daily store routines.
The new locations are also much smaller than the massive shops we are all used to and they will even have rental spaces for special events. News of the new stores comes after their 2017 bankruptcy filing which lead to the closing of all their stores across the nation. While there are tons of changes coming to their new stores, other things are staying the same like their adorable mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe.
If buying toys from the iconic toy store was an essential part of your childhood, you'll be happy to know that they are soon relaunching their website, where all you will be able to purchase their latest products.
The company has yet to announce if they will be opening any more stores any time soon so we'll just have to wait to see if they start popping up all over the United States as they did before.
And while we might not be Toys R Us kids anymore, the store is set to make a full relaunch by the holiday season and who says we can't treat ourselves to an epic lightsaber or possibly some Harry Potter Legos?
