The biggest event of the year, the Houston Rodeo, is about to come back to town and that means tons of food, music, and carnival rides. The end of the rodeo is always a sad comedown and similar to the morning after Christmas, you're already wishing it was rodeo season again. However, there is a way to keep the season going because there's going to be a huge state fair near Houston just a few days after the rodeo ends.
The YMBL South Texas State Fair is coming back to Beaumont four days after the Houston Rodeo ends. And it's going to last from March 26 through April 5. The event includes a huge carnival, rodeo, fair, and of course, tons of delicious carnival food.
With tickets starting at only $8, it's a great way to counteract the post-season blues and to keep the carnival festivities going even after the Houston Rodeo ends.
The carnival is going to be huge, with a Ferris wheel, a zero-gravity ride, teacups and plenty more. It's almost as big at the Houston Rodeo!
There will also be other rides, live entertainment, and a rodeo with a live auction where you can spot some really cute animals.
Tickets for the carnival rides are $1 and each ride takes between two to six tickets.
However, if you want to make it more simple, they offer unlimited ride wristbands for $35, which is a pretty good deal if you're looking to stay at the carnival all night with your friends.
You can plan the sweetest date night or the wildest BFF day out and head over to the fair for endless festivities and good eats.
Once you've had your fill of the wild rides, you can go watch the rodeo, hang with the cutest animals at their petting zoo, or even ride a camel.
No rodeo is complete without some beverages and for the 21-and-up crowd, there's going to be a beer garden that's the perfect place to cool down and grab a cold drink in between fun activities and shows.
