You Can Lounge In Hammocks While Watching 90s Movies At This Cozy Bar In Houston

Unfortunately, they won't have any Furby's for sale.
Houston Bar Has Outdoor Movie Nights

Listen up 90s kids! There's a bar in Houston that's dusting off their old VHS collections from the days when Blockbuster and a pizza was the perfect Friday night plan. Every Monday, Axelrad Beer Garden will host a 90s movie night that's free to the public (21 and up of course)! Lounge on one of their many hammocks, get a little boozy, and watch your childhood favorite on the big screen.

Don't think that Axelrad is going to be strictly showing kids movies like The Lion King or Space Jam because this highly popular spot is focusing their movies choices on comdies that bring their audience together. This comes just in time for the Fall season, with the air getting breezier.

Is there anything better than swinging in a hammock and watching a movie? The movies usually start around sundown, but keep in mind Daylight Savings time is coming up soon so they will start a bit earlier.

Though they have plenty of hammocks, it's first come, first served. If you don't get a hammock, there is plenty of open table seating that's in perfect view of the screen.

But wait, there's more good news! Axelrad is dog friendly so you don't have to feel guilty about leaving your dog at home! With events like this, we can always time travel back to the 90s.

The Houston Zoo has officially embraced the spirit of Christmas with its magical holiday lights event.

Houston Zoo Lights, unlike other light show this year, actually allows you to walk through the zoo rather than drive-thru, making it truly stick out from other events happening this holiday season.

You'll have the chance to interact with Candy the zoo lights zebra, sit on a giant ice throne, and take socially-distanced selfies with the big man himself, Santa Claus.
