Houston's Very First In-N-Out Burger Is Almost Complete And We're Ready For It

Burgers in the city haven't been quite the same since The Great Whataburger Betrayal. We're still recovering from the breakup and have been in dire need of some good comfort food. That's why we were pretty thrilled to hear that the (next) best burger chain In-N-Out is coming just in time to be our delicious rebound.

We've been watching them closely since their two Houston new locations were announced. And it looks like we're getting even closer to Redemption Day.

One of the locations (the one closest to completion) will be part of Stafford's grand introduction of The Grid—a 350,000 square foot retail and restaurant hub.

The glowing beauty can be found—already standing strong and tall—on the old Texas Instruments campus, between West Airport and South Kirkwood on Highway 59.

The construction began back in June, and will be finished and open for business in the fall around November—fingers crossed.

Seriously. Some of us are getting really impatient.

But good things come to those who wait, my friends. We'll be wearing those corny paper hats in no time. Especially with the location set to be open 24/7.

The Grid will also bring us a new Outback Steakhouse, Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar, a lounge with a sprawling beer garden, mini-parks, trails, a golf entertainment center—the whole sha-bang!

The second location is whispered to be in Willowbrook at 7611 West FM 1960. Odd choice, but whatever, we're still down.

And in the meantime, if you're a fan of classic California foods, check out Bae for LA-style desserts that just opened in Houston.

So get ready, Houston. Keep driving past the Grid and dream of what is to come in November. There's about to be nothing Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin can hold above our heads anymore.

Let our new burger love affair begin.
