It is the ultimate test of a true Texan to know what a good, authentic taco dish is. But there's just something about the Houston Tex-Mex that hits different. And now, we get a whole festival to reveal it. On Saturday, June 8th, Preservation Park is holding the Texas Taco Tequila and Music Festival.
Beginning at 12 pm, the event will be packing in so much to eat and do until 11:30 pm that it's best if we just paint a imagery of the scene. Picture this—you're dancing along to The Suffers; you have a frozen margarita in your left hand, a taco from one of the 30 best vendors in your right. Then, you see it—live Lucha Libre wrestling (what does Lucha Libre mean and why do you feel like you're in Nacho Libre right now?)
So anyways, let's get down to the nitty gritty.
General Admission tickets are $15, and General Admission pre-sale tickets that will get you a speciality wristband and two drink tickets are $25. VIP tickets, which get you a lot more access to music, shaded areas, and free stuff are $75. Tickets are half off for teachers, veterens, first responders, and police with a valid I.D.
Not only do kids 12 and under get in for free, but there will be a zone featuring inflatables and games for kids to unleash on.
Across the festival, you'll be able to find several boutique, artisan vendors, and live art. Plus, photo areas will be set up for you to show off your cute festival outfit. In addition to the musical guests, there will be mariachi bands (whats a taco fest without it?) and street entertainers. And all those delicious tacos you've been hearing about? There will be a contest to determine the best of the best.
The celebration will commence at Preservation Park at Old Town Spring 130 Spring School Rd Spring, TX 77373 on Saturday, June 8.
Get ready for the tastiest tacos across the whole city plus the best margs and music around!
Now, in the words of the great Nacho Libre, where are the cheeeeps?!
