Everything about the world of Harry Potter is magical, from the story and characters to the actual magic and the music. While the age-old argument of whether the books or the movies are better has been going on forever, there's another option out there, watching the movie and listening to the live score at Houston's Harry Potter live concert!
On April 10 and 11, The Houston Symphony is going to be screening Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with the symphony playing along live to the movie.
The Houston Symphony has put on these events before with other Harry Potter movies and it's awesome every time!
The event is put on by CineConcerts, who have played Harry Potter shows all over the world with Potterheads loving them from all over.
You can dress up and rep your favorite house, grab a drink*, and immerse yourself in the best movie franchise ever while a whole orchestra plays live for you.
Tickets are relatively cheap, starting at $34, which is a good deal for a movie and concert in one!
The concert hall will open an hour before the show starts so come early to enjoy a bite to eat at their in-lobby cafe. Or pick up a drink for you and your friends to sip on while you get pumped up for the show!
The magical concert is going to be performed multiple times, once on April 10 at 7:30 p.m. and twice on April 11 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
There's no shortage of Harry Potter themed stuff to do in Texas and this month, San Antonio is going to be having a Harry Potter Fest.
Also, beach town Corpus Christi is home to the cutest Harry Potter-themed coffee shop.
