In Texas, we make good burgers. But in Houston, we make 'em interesting. Bernie's Burger Bus in Houston makes some crazy delicious burgers and All-American food, including their famous Flamin' Hot Mac N' Cheese Burgers.

You heard that right. Bernie's has these special burgers hidden on a not-so-secret menu for those looking to get out of their comfort zone and venture out like a kid again.

Speaking of kids, being an "old school" kid is what it's all about at Bernie's Burger Bus. The entire joint is completely grade-school-themed with normal menu items such as "Class Clown," "Homeroom," and "Hallpass."

And, of course, it wouldn't be an American burger joint without some hand-spun milkshakes. They have 7 different shake flavors to try including one that's cookie butter-flavored. What!?

Ordering a shake might be for the best, especially if you don't do well with spicy stuff but can't stay away from their most iconic secret menu item.

If you think you're brave enough to try the Flamin' Hot Cheeto Mac N' Cheese Burger from the secret menu, order the "Field Trip Burger."

It features two Flamin' Hot Cheeto Mac ‘n' Cheese buns, double meat patties, double cheese, pecan smoked bacon, tabasco, onions, and hot sauce. ⁣

Inside the locations, you'll even find an actual yellow school bus that comes from their days on the road.

If you're hit with nostalgia instantly, you're not alone.

They have four locations in the Houston area including in Bellaire, Katy, The Heights, and Missouri City. So you can grab a bite, no matter where you are!

Their chef, clearly a creative genius, is not afraid of experimentation.

They even hinted at adding some newfound creations to their menu like Flamin' Hot Cheeto Onion Rings, Hot Cheeto Brittle Milkshake, and Queso Ruffles.

Chef Justin Turner is always looking for new, delicious ways to break the norm and stray away from the rules of fine dining establishments, so there is never a bad time to try out Bernie's Burger Bus!
