Turkey Leg Hut Just Opened A Food Truck Location In Houston

With lines (almost) as massive as their famous turkey legs, it's pretty obvious we were in need of an additional location for the Texas famous Turkey Leg Hut. And lucky for us, Houston's Turkey Leg Hut just opened a brand new food truck located at the Galleria.

This new food truck location will be open from Thursday through Sunday at 11 a.m. until as late as 12 a.m. on the weekends.

But their turkey legs aren't just massive. They're stuffed. You can get your turkey stuffed with dirty rice, alfredo shrimp, or crawfish mac and cheese.

The food truck will serve everything from homemade gumbo to homemade turkey tamales.

Oh and, hey, they also have salads.

But we can't disregard the brick-and-mortar Turkey Leg Hut location quite yet. They are home to the Texas-sized frozen drinks and mimosas we know and obsess over.

Like, so "Texas-sized" that it takes multiple bottles of champagne for one mimosa.

Be sure to get the discounted drinks at the brick-and-mortar's happy hour every Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The hut has come a long way since their humble beginning at the Houston Rodeo in 2016.

Turkey Leg Hut is only planning to get bigger, with plans to keep on expanding and make their mark on three Third Ward spots — Savoy Urban Beer Garden, Daiquiri Hut, and Breakfast Hut, according to Eater Houston.

If you can't make it out to any of their locations, they also offer a catering menu. You can get pans of their turkey legs, appetizers, and sides delivered to you and whoever you're aiming to impress!

And if you can handle any more massive food after conquering this beast, you may be ready to take on this spot in town with giant pizzas.
