You Can Bring Your Pup To This Brand New Giant Dog-Friendly Restaurant And Bar In Houston
Man's best friend is the one that finishes your ice cream cone and runs to your feet to lick up crumbs when you drop a piece of the lunch you just made. Hopefully, that describes your dog and not your college roommate, because a new dog-friendly eatery, Lazy Dog, is now open in Houston and we can't wait to tell our furry best friends about it.
Lazy Dog is a lodge-themed restaurant that serves lunch, brunch, and dinner. A few other states — and even some North Texas cities — have been happily attending Lazy Dog for a while now, and now we finally get to join the club.
They actually provide a doggie menu, because dogs are people too! So show your pup the menu and whatever item he sniffs the hardest — that's the one. And don't let whoever you're with try to convince you that your dog is not actually communicating with you. We know the truth.
Pup friendly cuisine options include a grilled hamburger patty and brown rice, a grilled chicken breast and brown rice, or just plain brown rice.
"Real" humans get a little more options — from sandwiches to pancakes to pizza to you-name-it! Currently, they offer special seasonal meals as well like the Peking Pork Belly Pancakes, Jackfruit Falafel Tacos, and Green Goddess Salad.
And here's the best part (for some) — the eatery is located in Cypress, so if you live in the suburbs, you won't have to go far or make your dog endure a long hectic traffic-filled car ride to get there.
Dogs must be kept on a leash and will be provided with their own doggie bowl. There are some rules, though, because, you know, the health department (those party poopers).
You must keep your pup on the giant patio but you can step inside to see the interior Rocky Mountain Wyoming design of the building with fireplaces, rustic light fixtures, and furniture.
During the week, Lazy Dog will operate from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and during the weekend from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
So for this brunch date, bring your cuddle buddy and leave your weird roommate at home. For everyone's sake.
