Houston is such a diverse city, there are people of so many different backgrounds and cultures that live here. There are a ton of festivals in and around the city every year, especially ones that promote diverse cultures. This April, one of those fests is a Turkish Festival coming to Houston with tons of great food and a huge bazaar.
On April 4 and 5, the Houston Turkish Festival is coming back to Houston and it's going to have plenty of vendors whipping up different kinds of Turkish food and lots of great performances.
One of the coolest parts of the fest is the huge Grand Bazaar with over twenty different stands selling handmade, high-quality goods.
Since the festival is still over a month away, if you get your tickets soon you can get them at the discounted early bird price of $8!
This price is a couple of bucks less then if you buy them full-price at the door on the day of, which is $10.
The festival will be in full swing all weekend long, with doors opening at 11 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m. on both April 4 and 5.
This year's performers are still to be announced but in past years, the fest has included a lot of different kinds of amazing dancers.
Some of the food that'll be at the fest include falafel, kebabs, grape leaves, baklava, and Turkish coffee to wash it all down with, which all sound amazing.
This year, the festival is even going to have a World Pavilion with seven different countries that will be displaying different aspects of their cultures.
Some of the countries in the Pavilion include Russia, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
Mark your calendars now because the Turkish Festival is sure to blow you away this April.
