We loved the interactive candy-themed wonderland of Candytopia that came to Houston this summer. But what goes better with candy than our favorite movie? This month, the creators of Candytopia are partnering up with Planet Hollywood to bring us Movietopia, Houston's new interactive movie experience.
Movietopia takes all your favorite films from the last 30 years and adds you into the scene. This immersive experience puts you at the center of the action as the movie comes to life all around you.
You can take a little joyride in the original Ferrari from Ferris Bueller's Day Off—but it better not get wrecked, stolen, or scratched! Cameron's literal life depends on it.
You can battle cyborgs in a 3D-Terminator experience, sail on the Jenny boat from Forrest Gump before diving into a massive pit of shrimp, and get chased by a rolling boulder in the Treasure Temple alongside Indiana Jones to recover the golden idol.
Don't forget to get a quick haircut from Edward Scissorhands, hop in Fred Flintstone’s foot mobile, squeeze out of the Ace Ventura rhino, and be the victim of Honey I Shrunk The Kids.
Movietopia is open every day. From Monday through Saturday you can experience these scenes from 10 a.m. through 8:30 p.m. On Sunday, the fun begins at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for kids 4-12, and free for kids 3 and under.
So make sure you have all your favorite movie quotes memorized, and your wittiest captions ready, Houston. There's tons of movies to star in and your favorite scenes to relive right in the Candyland of the city.
