A Massive Crab Festival Is Happening Near Galveston This May

A day on the beach is always a ton of fun but nothing makes the beach more exciting than a full-on seafood festival. The Texas Crab Fest will be held on May 10th to 12th perfectly located on Crystal Beach bringing tons of delicious crab with them. For a relaxing day of eating the best seafood, enjoying the ocean, and hanging with friends, this fest is perfect for you.

The festival will have a variety of things for visitors to attend including costumed dog races, a crab eating contest, and a jumbo crab leg cook-off. The event will host over 60 different vendors with a variety of crab meals as well as yummy desserts for after your meal.

No festival would be complete without music and this year the Texas Crab Fest headliner will be country artist Sunny Sweeney. Other performers include the New Orleans Party Band, Bag of Donuts, Wayne Toups and Treble Soul. Get ready to dance the night away!

The festival will also have a variety of carnival rides for everyone to enjoy. The event will have an arcade where all the games are going to be crab themed. If a scavenger hunt is more your style, there will be one of those too where you and a group of friends will have to search the entire festival for treasure and the winners will get $500.

Tickets to the festival are only $10 on Friday and Saturday and on Sunday the event is completely free to enter and there will be free parking all weekend.

The festival will debut its new location at 1605 Highway 87 in Crystal Beach, Texas. Texas Crab Fest will be from 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
