We're already looking forward to the spring—when the sun shines bright and the crawfish festivals begin. The 6th annual Bigass Crawfish is coming back to Texas for another epic year of seafood feasting.
On Saturday, April 4, in La Marque, all the way from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., you can explore Texas' finest crawfish.
Season Greeting tickets are now on sale for $22 and don't wait until the day-of or you'll be dropping $35 at the gate.
And if you're feeling generous, you can donate to a charity at checkout. 90% of all profits go toward charities they sponsor—now that's soul food!
But to really get the most out of the event, make sure you show up in time for All-You-Can-Eat Crawfish. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., you can stuff your face with so much of the red deliciousness.
Entry for kids is totally free and there will even be shuttles to and from the event.
And the best part of the fest is their iconic and unhealthy competition. There will be a "Best of the Gulf Coast" team cookoff and "Best of the Bay Restaurant" Cookoff. It is projected to have more than 80 teams in attendance!
If you think you have the crawfish recipe it takes to win, you can sign up for the competition by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
First place will take home a hefty $3,000, so you better get cooking!
This crawfish fest isn't just any ole' boil. It is award-winning. Back in 2017, Bigass Crawfish Bash set a Guinness World Record for serving up the largest batch of crawfish in eight hours, exceeding 58,083.98 pounds.
So it's unclear from the name whether the event is featuring Kim-K style crawfish, or if the festival is just massive, but we're hoping it's a double-meaning.
