With international travel off the cards for a little while, this is the perfect time to start thinking about what wonders there are to explore within Canada. If you’ve been dreaming of a cross-country roadtrip, why not jump back in time while you’re en-route? You can actually hang out with huge dinosaurs in Quebec, and the primeval Insta-pics will be totally worth the drive.
If you’ve always loved dinosaurs, or you simply enjoy those one-of-a-kind adventures, a road trip to Quebec should definitely be on the cards.
Located in Quebec is a municipality called Ragueneau, where there is a mini-collection of larger-than-life creatures that are just waiting to be discovered by your inner paleontologist.
Erected in 1994, and designed by Mr. Rénald Girard, there are two life-size brachiosauruses that reside at the water's edge. Not only are the huge statues pretty impressive, there's also a dreamy background, offering incredible views of the coastline.
The village of Ragueneau is the gateway to the Manicouagan peninsula, the municipality's website explains.
Here, you can admire and explore all of the small islands on the horizon, which are home to a vast variety of colonies of birds and seals.
The Vieux Quai de Ragueneau also features a romantic picnic area, which is the perfect spot to enjoy breathtaking sunsets while enjoying a picnic.
Dinner with dinosaurs sounds pretty impressive, right?!
"The dinosaurs symbolize the strength and the greatness of heart that characterize our pioneers as well as the strength of the elements of nature at the beginning of our history," explains the Tourisme Côte-Nord website.
The best part is, the location of the dinosaurs is seriously beautiful, too.
The tiny isles and gorgeous panoramic views of the water will make you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, and you'll be getting serious Land Before Time vibes before you know it.
If you don’t want your dino-dreams to end here, there’s another spot in Quebec you could visit during your trip.
In Madrid, which is located on the highway between Montreal and Quebec City, there is a McDonald’s location which has some seriously scary faces outside, and you can grab yet another awesome photo opportunity.
Just to take such unforgettable photos, it's totally worth the long roadtrip.
