I Tried All Of Starbucks' New Fall-Inspired Drinks And There Is One Clear Winner

It's that time of year again! The breeze is starting to become stronger and colder, while the leaves on the trees are beginning to transition from green to red, orange and yellow. Autumn is finally upon us and with it starts the shift to sweater weather.

With the change of seasons brings another change that any coffee lover like myself enjoys: a new line-up of Starbuck's fall-inspired drinks! The flavours in the fall line of drinks are supposed to remind you of crisp autumn air, cosy sweaters, and of course crunchy leaves falling from the trees!
This fall, Starbucks introduced more than just the Pumpkin Spice Latte and even brought Canadians a special new drink for the season. A brand new Cardamom Latte was introduced for its warm flavour that will remind you of falling leaves.

They also brought back the Salted Caramel Mocha for chocolate fans! This classic Starbucks drink is always highly anticipated for the colder seasons.
But there is always a favourite and one drink that tends to rise above the rest. That's why I, a Toronto millennial who drinks a minimum of three cups a day, tried all the flavours of fall at Starbucks so you don't have to waste the extra cash. Each cup was not altered from its original recipe, just the way the coffee Gods at Starbuck's would have intended.

Here are my honest opinions about each Starbucks Fall drink and which one is definitely better than the rest.
Cardamom Latte
I was really excited to try the Cardamom Latte because it was a new flavour for this years lineup of fall-inspired drinks. Personally, I love a good underdog story but when I ordered the cardamom latte there was a little bit of disappointment in the taste.
While the spice of cardamom creates an incredible fall flavour, I felt like I couldn't taste it enough. But, on the bright side, this is perfect for someone who is looking for a fall drink that's not overly sweet and is a nice twist from your standard espresso in steamed milk!
Salted Caramel Mocha
To be clear here, I am a mega fan of mochas. Peppermint, caramel, hazelnut, you name it, I will love it because chocolate is always delicious (sorry, not sorry). The Salted Caramel Mocha comes to Starbucks every fall and winter season, so it's safe to say I'm happy it's back.
This drink is perfect if you're looking for something on the decadent side, topped with whip cream, caramel drizzle and salt pieces. Not only is this Mocha to die for but the added salt is also perfect for those who love a sweet and salty combo.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
When you think of fall, everyone thinks of Pumpkin Spice. The two go together like Bonnie and Clyde, peanut butter and jelly, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson. While I love a good PSL (like any other basicgirl) last year's alteration to the recipe kind of turned me off from enjoying them.
Now, with the original recipe being used again, this drink is back to its normal level of excellence and has a taste that can only be described as "Fall in a cup". If you're not a fan of pumpkin then don't even try to make this worth your while, because since this drink is topped with whipped cream and cinnamon it's basically a caffeinated pumpkin pie in a cup.
The Winner?
As a lover of all these drinks, it's really hard for me to pick a favourite. That being said, if I had to choose only one drink for the fall season, it would have to be the Pumpkin Spice Latte. While I personally would drink it half sweet, this is a classic that would surely be missed if it weren't around.
Don't get me wrong, I still think that the others deserve a number one spot. It's just that there is something so perfect about drinking a Pumpkin flavoured beverage while watching the colours change around you. Some may call me basic, but we all know that there is nothing that goes together like PSL and fall.
