One of my favourite countries to explore is actually Canada! It's so large and diverse that it's practically impossible to run out of fun things to do here. From island hopping on the West Coast of British Columbia to comparing bagels from St-Viateur and Fairmount in Montreal, I love travelling in Canada when I get the chance!
Things can be weirdly expensive in Canada (like our super expensive cellphone plans) and unfortunately for Canadians, flying within our own country. It's pretty lame that Vancouverites have to shell out tons of money on flights just to taste East Coast lobster. Even though I try my best to find amazingly cheap flight deals, sometimes I just can't satisfy my wanderlust because of barriers like cost and getting time off work to travel.
That's why the FlyOver Canada experience is so fun and refreshing! It's a non-committal way to see the best of our gorgeous country without having to check any luggage or book hotels. You'll feel like you're literally flying over the country, feet suspended dangling above a 20-metre spherical screen as you watch a film that brings you across Canada from coast to coast. There are even special effects like wind, mist and fragrances that make it feel like you're actually blowing your way over the grassy prairies and the peaks of the rocky mountains!
With Lunar New Year right around the corner, FlyOver Canada is doing a special Flight of the Dragon experience! You will get a chance to soar over China from Thursday, January 24 to Sunday, February this year. You'll follow a mythical dragon on a journey across China from the bustling metropolis of Shanghai to the spectacular mountains and forests of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You don't want to miss this experience because it's basically a two-for-one deal. After the Flight of the Dragon experience, you'll get to fly over Canada, too!
You can visit FlyOver Canada every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the complete experience takes about 25 minutes including the eight-minute Ultimate Flying Ride. It costs $28.05 if you book it online or $33 at the gate. Check out their website to learn more and to book your tickets.
