New "It: Chapter Two" Trailer Was Just Released At Comic-Con & It May Be The Scariest Horror Movie Yet
The Losers' Club is back together and the world couldn't be more excited! "It: Chapter Two" has been in the works for almost two years now and its release date is literally only two months away! Fans have been wondering when a new trailer would be released after the teaser came out in May, and San Diego Comic-Con DELIVERED. A revamped look at the Losers Club was released after the "It: Chapter Two" trailer premiered at Comic-Con.
The cast of It: Chapter 2 took the time to release the official trailer a whole day before it was released to the rest of the world. Now that it's here, people are terrified. It's not really surprising that this could potentially be one of the scariest horror movies ever. It's well known that Bill Skarsgård just dressed as Pennywise has traumatized people on-set.
The most anticipated thing that we finally got to see in this trailer is the Losers' Club back in action together 27 years later. The trailer starts off with Mike, played by Isaiah Mustafa, calling the rest of his childhood friends back to Derry: Beverley (Jessica Chastain), Bill (James McAvoy), Richie (Bill Hader), Stan (Andy Bean), and Ben (Jay Ryan). Mike believes that their worst nightmare has come back to life — Pennywise.
The trailer focuses on the gang filtering through childhood memories, trying to figure out how to defeat Pennywise once and for all. But that doesn't come without its fair share of gore and red balloons — A LOT of red balloons. The trailer also gives nods back to the first film with a look at the horrific basement scene between Bill and his dead brother, Georgie.
It also shows us a glimpse of the teaser that was released in May, where Beverly meets someone whom we believe is Pennywise's daughter.
One of the movie's most anticipated scenes in the funhouse is also hinted at in the trailer, where we get an up-close and personal look at Pennywise behind a mirror, hunting his next child.
The most surreal part of the whole trailer may just be the fact that the town of Derry hasn't changed. It has the same underground tunnels, the same timeless feel that gives you goosebumps, the same horrors lurking beneath, and now the same Losers' Club 27 years later.
It: Chapter 2 hits theatres on September 6 and it couldn't come any sooner!
