People Are Ripping Ja Rule Apart For Saying Fyre Festival Was “An Amazing Idea”
Although not many of us Average Joe's were part of the group that purchased tickets to Fyre Festival, many of us did get to enjoy the entertainment that came from the seriously horrendous downfall of the festival. Both the Netflix and Hulu documentaries gave us a unique insight into what really happened in the Bahamas back in 2017, but since Billy McFarland was put behind bars, things have been relatively quiet. That all changed today, though - Ja Rule talks about Fyre Festival, says it was still "an amazing idea".
Just this morning, Ja and fellow performer and business partner Irv Gotti were guests on Breakfast Club. The duo talked about the influence of rapper Jay-Z, their latest projects, and of course, it wasn't long before the infamous Fyre Festival was brought up.
Gotti told listeners that he supported Ja 100% through the entire fiasco. "Billy had me fooled", he exclaimed. The entire problem with the festival was that Billy had everyone fooled - he continued to pull in investors and workers, and build all the hype around the festival even though he knew it wasn't going to be at all what was planned.
Ja also wanted to say his piece about the failed festival and defend his honour.
"Yes, my brother supported me. The Fyre Festival was an amazing idea. Let's not act like every f*cking body wasn't coming to the Fyre Festival. It was f*cking done wrong. It was organized bad. The idea of it was dope, the marketing was dope, everything was done very right on that end. The execution was extremely bad, man."

Ja may be under the impression that Fyre Festival was "an amazing idea", but people on Twitter definitely don't agree with him, and they weren't afraid to let him know.

Later on in the interview, Ja admitted that he'd be interested in doing another festival (and even bragged about getting plenty of offers from big names in the industry), but he said that he'd never again work with McFarland. "I'm mad at Billy," Ja said. "He lied to me, man. He lied to me in a lot of ways."
