Jacksonville Jaguars Unveiled Top 25 Player List And Fred Taylor Is Not Pleased

By the end of this upcoming season, the Jacksonville Jaguars will have completed 25 years as a professional franchise in the National Football League. Along with the Carolina Panthers, the Jaguars joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995.

To celebrate this feat, the Jaguars compiled a list of its top 25 inactive players. The list, according to the team's website,  was "voted on by a panel including members of the local media who covered the team throughout the majority of its existence."

Surely, being named among the top 25 players in the existence of any franchise would be considered an honor. However, One certain Jaguars legend appeared to be very upset over his ranking in the list. No, this player did not rank 25th or even 24th. He was ranked second!

The player in question is former Jaguars running back Fred Taylor and he must have been watching plenty of Talladega Nights. Taylor is clearly hung up on the whole mantra of "If you're not first, you're last."

Taylor played for the Jags from 1998 to 2008. Here is what the longtime Jaguar had to say on being named number two:

The ex-Florida Gator tweeted the following rant on his private twitter account:

"I'm not sure who voted but they missed. What were you guys doing for the 11 YEARS I carried the team. One day someone (other than me) will recognize how valuable I was. I did something only 21 players in history of the game done at my position. #WhatAJoke"

Taylor was topped by former Jaguar left tackle Tony Boselli.

While many fans agreed with his message, they were definitely not on board with Taylor's delivery.

So far, Tony Boselli has not commented on Taylor's tweet.

Either way, it's certainly an awkward situation for everyone involved.

The Jaguars begin their 2019/20 season in Kansas City against the Chiefs on September 8th.
