Dogs are a man's best friend - their cute fluffy faces not only bring joy but can also help those who need an extra hand in their day to day lives. Canine Companions is hosting a super cute DogFest where you can have a paw-some day with your fur baby on March 31st.
DogFest 2019 is happening down at the Seawalk Pavillion in Jacksonville and is free to enter, you just have to register. Whether you have a dog or simply love them, the festival will give you a great day out to spend with a bunch of doggos - all while supporting a good cause.
The dog-filled day will include a community walking event where you can march the streets in a sea of other cute puppies as well as doggie arts and crafts, dog games, and raffles to win various prizes. There will also be music, delicious food, dog demonstrations, and other fun and furry activities not only for you but also your 4-legged friend.
Canine Companions has raised dogs to help people with disabilities since 1975, providing their dogs to people with disabilities free of charge. They raise 4 different types of little helpers: hearing dogs for the deaf and hard of hearing, facility dogs for clients with special needs in a multitude of settings, skilled companions for people with cognitive disabilities, or service dogs for those with physical disabilities that need an extra paw.
Canine Companions seeks to provide people with disabilities the help that they need - and a loving, furry best friend by their side. You can attend the doggie festivities at Seawalk Pavillion in Jacksonville at 75 1st Street N Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. Registration opens for entry at 12 pm, followed by their opening ceremony that starts at 1 pm.
