There Is A Super Unique Steampunk Bar Hidden Inside This 100-Year Old Building In Jacksonville

Beer lovers will love this amazing bar in Jacksonville. Not only do they have a massive beer selection but one of the weirdest menus in the Sunshine State. Kickbacks Gastropub is a steampunk bar that specializes in serving unique food with over 1000 different bottled beers.
The pub has an expansive food menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner served simultaneously with big portions at a reasonable price. The moment you step inside Kickbacks Gastropub is like entering a time machine.
You will discover a three-level venue inside a 100-year-old building that features the main dining room with mezzanine seating and a stage, a Belgian inspired basement and a covered outdoor patio.
What makes this bar extra special is the unique steampunk decor featuring sculptures from Jim Smith, paintings and murals by Grant Thornton and blacksmithing from David Ponsler. If you look closely at the walls you will notice over 1 million pennies glued to the wall which provides an unusual backdrop.
There is a Belgian-inspired bar beneath the bar with a private dining room, private beer lockers and a network of refrigerated beer “catacombs” where they store over 100,000 vintage bottles and kegs of beer.
The food menu is as unique as the beer. You can find interesting culinary creations such as French mushroom spread, shrimp stuffed jalapeno poppers, corn nuggets, Scotch eggs, poutine, pierogies and more.
If you love dessert and alcohol you should order a beer shake. The menu does not get more eclectic than this. Each beer shake contains a specific draft beer with ice cream and garnished with rainbow sprinkles and a white-chocolate drizzled bacon skewer.
No matter what your tastebuds are there is a bit of everything for everyone.
