'Big Brother Canada' Fans Have Said They'll Stop Watching After Jamar Lee's Shocking Exit

The drama continues! During last night’s episode, fans were supposed to see Jamar Lee’s exit on Big Brother Canada play out on camera. The house meeting that sparked the drama leading up to the decision to remove Lee was not aired on the show, but fans saw it play out on the BBCAN live feeds and it has sparked outrage, to say the least.
Earlier this week, ET Canada broke the news that the decision had been made to remove Lee from the BBCAN house for a “breach of house rules”. The ejection came after the 24-year-old allegedly threatened fellow houseguest, Kyle Rozendal.
Another houseguest, Vanessa Clements , also said that she felt “uncomfortable” by Lee’s comments during the house meeting, prompting production to come to the final decision to pull the Ajax, Ontario native from the rest of the game.
“We at Global and Insight Productions take the rules of this competition seriously and with respect to all houseguests past and present, the confines of the Big Brother house can be trying, sometimes leading to a clash of opinions and emotions in an isolated environment,” Global and Insight Productions said in a statement .
“We handle these situations with care and caution, protecting the well-being of our houseguests and ensuring the integrity of this long-standing production.”
When word of Lee’s removal of the house hit social media, fans were quick to express their disappointment with how the situation was handled—some even said that they would quit watching the show.
“Jamar made the show and now that they removed him there’s really no point in watching, I really hope minorities stop applying for these shows that don’t protect or support us #IStandWithJamar #BBCAN8,” one person tweeted.
Lee also commented on the incident in Global’s statement, saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions – I lost my cool and that’s not okay. I’ve always stood behind what I believe in and I’m sorry if I let people down. I want to thank everyone for their love and support, it really means a lot… this isn’t the last of me! You feel me?”
Big Brother Canada airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It’s unclear whether Lee’s exit will be formally addressed in this episode or not.
